Introduction

You can view the slides here or download them via the links below.

Drupal 8.7 will be released on May 1, 2019. As Drupal 8 continues to evolve, the content authoring experience has become amazing, especially when compared to past versions of Drupal.

This session is for you if you are not on Drupal 8 yet, or haven't seen the incredible power of the Layout Builder, Workspaces module, and other built-in modules recently added to Drupal 8.

Agenda

In this session, we'll demonstrate the following live:

  • The new and improved authoring experience.
  • The latest updates to the Layout Builder, which allows you to change a page's layout without hiring a Drupal developer.
  • The Workflow module, which provides a state-machine interface that allows you to create complex workflows. If your content requires an approval process, this module allows for simple to complex workflows.
  • The Workspaces module, which is somewhat similar to Workflow, but this module is more about staging a set of content (pages, blocks, etc) before it gets published.
  • The extremely simplified Language Translation flow for translating pages into different languages.

About the Speaker

I'm Dan Harris, and I've had the pleasure of working with Drupal for over 11 years, and love (almost) every minute of it. In that time, I've upgraded and/or migrated hundreds of Drupal sites, and collected a few pointers along the way.
